Levels of Licensing Accreditation

Levels of accreditation reflect training completed, successful delivery of the requisite number of PAIRS classes, consistently receiving the highest evaluations from course participants and fellow providers, striving to represent the "Qualities of an Effective PAIRS Provider," rigorously adhering to ethical standards and licensing commitments, contributing to the overall strength of our global network of providers, and creating and sustaining collaboration within their agencies, practices, neighborhoods or communities to make a lasting, positive contribution that meaningfully impacts the areas served.

PAIRS Provisional Coach. After successfully completing PAIRS Level I Training, receiving the recommendation of a PAIRS Consultant, and committing to adhere to the Foundation's licensing and ethical standards, you may offer, promote, and teach five PAIRS Essentials classes with each class including between eight and 30 participants.

It is required that a second licensee, who must also be an actively licensed PAIRS Provisional Coach or above, assist in all classes of 8-30 participants, with a third licensee, who must be an actively licensed PAIRS Coach or above, assisting in all classes of more than 30 participants.

At two licensed providers should be involved in every PAIRS program and a minimum ratio of one PAIRS Licensed Provider for every 15 program participants should be maintained.

As a PAIRS Provisional Coach, you may:
  1.     Use the words, “a PAIRS [designation]” with your name in business and promotional materials;
  2.     Use PAIRS handbooks and supplemental materials for the program(s) you are licensed to teach;
  3.     Participate in advanced training opportunities to develop higher levels of excellence in PAIRS;
  4.     Apply for advancement in the accreditation process.
Becoming a PAIRS Coach. After teaching five PAIRS Classes to a minimum of eight participants each, your participant and self evaluations will be reviewed for an invitation by the Foundation to become a PAIRS Coach. At least one of these five classes must be taught with an invited PAIRS Coach, PAIRS Master Coach or PAIRS Consultant, whose written evaluation and recommendation is required for consideration.

In addition to the rights of a PAIRS Provisional Coach, a PAIRS Coach may:
  1. Use the words, “a PAIRS Coach” in any professional directory;
  2. Receive referrals from the Foundation and directly from the PAIRS.com website.
Becoming a PAIRS Master Coach. After teaching a minimum of 10 PAIRS Classes as an accredited PAIRS Coach, your participant and self evaluations will be reviewed for an invitation by the Foundation to become a PAIRS Master Coach. At least one of these 10 classes must be taught with an invited PAIRS Master Coach or PAIRS Consultant, whose written evaluation and recommendation is required for consideration. As a PAIRS Master Coach, you may solicit and be contracted to provide support and evaluation services to others seeking advancement and may assist a PAIRS Consultant in the delivery of PAIRS Level I Training.

In addition to the rights of a PAIRS Provisional Coach and PAIRS Coach, a PAIRS Master Coach may:
  1. Solicit services for supporting and evaluating provisional coaches seeking advancement;
  2. Assist PAIRS Consultants/PAIRS Trainers in the delivery of PAIRS Level I Training.
Becoming a PAIRS Consultant. After teaching a minimum of 10 PAIRS Classes as an accredited PAIRS Master Coach, your participant and self evaluations will be reviewed for an invitation by the Foundation to become a PAIRS Consultant. At least two of these 10 classes must be taught with an invited PAIRS Consultant, whose written evaluation(s) and recommendation(s) is/are required for consideration. As a PAIRS Consultant, you may conduct PAIRS Level I Training and recommend graduates for accreditation.

In addition to the rights of a PAIRS Provisional Coach, PAIRS Coach, and PAIRS Master Coach, a PAIRS Consultant may:
  1. Be contracted to provide support services for all other levels of coaches;
  2. Deliver PAIRS Level I Training;
  3. Recommend successful graduates for accreditation as a PAIRS Provisional Coach.
A PAIRS Coach II, Master Coach II or Consultant II is an accredited PAIRS Provider whose license also includes rights related to delivery of PAIRS Purpose and PAIRS Advanced Level II Training.

SECTION II: RIGHTS BY ACCREDITATION LEVEL

1.    As a PAIRS Provisional Coach, you may:
a.    Use PAIRS handbooks and supplemental materials for the program(s) you are licensed to teach;
b.    Participate in advanced training opportunities to develop higher levels of excellence in PAIRS;
c.    Apply for advancement in the accreditation process.
2.    In addition to the rights of a PAIRS Provisional Coach, as a PAIRS Coach you may:
a.    Use the words, “a PAIRS Coach” in business and promotional materials and any professional directory;
b.    Receive referrals from the Foundation and directly from the PAIRS.com website.
3.    In addition to the rights of a PAIRS Provisional Coach and PAIRS Coach, as a PAIRS Master Coach you may:
a.    Use the words, “a PAIRS Master Coach” in business and promotional materials and any professional directory;
b.    Solicit services for supporting and evaluating provisional coaches seeking advancement;
c.    Assist a PAIRS Consultants in the delivery of PAIRS Level I Training.
4.    In addition to the rights of a PAIRS Provisional Coach, PAIRS Coach, and PAIRS Master Coach, as a PAIRS Consultant you may:
a.    Use the words, “a PAIRS Consultant” in business and promotional materials and any professional directory;
b.    Be contracted to provide support services for all other levels of coaches;
c.    Deliver PAIRS Level I Training and recommend a successful graduate for accreditation as a PAIRS Provisional Coach.
